Very informative article about Herbs. I have traveled to China and done training on herbology and also have traveled to India and other Far East countries following the spice trail. I buy my spices and herbs from www.goodhopebotanicals.com and it should be another source for your readers. The staff is very versed on all aspects of the culinary and medicinal use of herbs.

Personally, when I look at herbs and spices, most of the time, I am unable to determine what to get becasue of how different it looks from what i had originally gathered, simply based on the name. However, I must attest to the greatness of herbs and spices, especially in barbequing meats such as shrimp and steak. They really turn a large slab of meat into a real dinner experience, although I disagree about it being a substitute for salt and pepper since they're the basics of seasoning IMO.

Great article though

I love going to Turkey to try out all the spices that they have over there. You can't beat being able to touch, smell and feel the different spices. So much nicer than buying sealed packets. Nice site, thanks for the article. Sarah
